In Hiroshima we visited a few other cool things. We saw the Hiroshima Castle which was destroyed in the blast but rebuilt later. Another thing we visited was a shrine/temple in the evening. This one is famous in Japan as it has a water entrance and some significance. I don’t really understand the differences in all the shrines so I just take pictures and enjoy the scenery. The shrines/temples are always set in the nicest grounds. They have open spaces, green trees and grass, and a peaceful atmosphere. Saturday night for dinner we went out to a genuine Japanese restaurant that offered the local delicacy. It was a combination of noodles, lots of cabbage, bacon, an egg, a liberal dousing of sauce and who knows what else. I surprisingly enjoyed it and loved everything but the cabbage. Finally, on our way out of town Sunday morning we dropped by Sacrament Meeting at the local Church. It is great how they do everything the same throughout the world. They even sang “Mother I Love You” for Mother’s Day.

A picture is not complete without the Asian peace sign... let that be a lesson to you for future pictures...
