Food in the Phillipines

Since i have gotten here it has been one meal after another. In my first 18 hours I had four full meals and another two desserts. They love to eat in this country, and thankfully, everything I have had has agreed with my stomach. The people here are really generous with all they have and have been very kind to me. One of Benji's nephews we were visting brought me a chair to use and said, "Here is you sit down," only he pronounced sit like it has another letter, it was quite hillarious.

With every meal we have had chicken, pork, and RC Cola. I asked my dad one time when I was young why he never got sick and he said it is because he drank so my Dr. Pepper no bugs or sicknesses could live inside his body. I think I am giong to employ the same approach for this trip. I drink bottled water whenever possible and otherwise will be using some Cola to keep me so acidic no bug can live in me. Food highlights so far have been fresh mango, flan (way to go Spanish influence), and ice fruit salad. Judging by my 3 favorite things, I guess I like desserts over here better than the actual meal.
PS I really do change shirts, I put a new one on yesterday.
