Getting Around Tokyo

So Tokyo has the most amazing mass transit system I have ever experienced. It has something like 30 subway lines with another handful of commuter lines and big railway lines. You can get anywhere by train. The system runs so often it is incredible. Something like 20+ million passengers a day go through the system including over 3 million at one station alone. We took one cab in Tokyo our whole time just because we didn't want to deal with the hassle of changing lines a couple times. As indicated above, the roof isn't the highest in some places but I avoided harm.
The trains are clean and people are very nice and respectful. Also, people don't talk on phones over here on the trains so you can ride in peace. I did have to stiffle my laughs a few times when I was watching The Office while on the train. I mentioned it in an earlier post but it is worth repeating. I am really impressed with Japan. The people, society, commerce, etc. is amazing. They have a beautiful country that is highly competent, organized, and has good values. The only drawback is things cost a ton here.
