Joining us for our first full day in Tokyo was Maureen, an friend of Fernando's from a former ward who's family has lived in Japan for nearly a decade. Besides being fluent in Japanese and nice, she was a wonderful tour guide who took us to see many cool things and many of the highlights of Tokyo. My personal favorite was our visit to the International District. We visited the Tokyo Temple, Asia North Area Headquarters (the Church owns amazing real estate the world over), Starbucks (nice banana and lemon pastry), various shops, the Lamborghini dealership (Fernando's fave), and La Jolla, a local Mexican restaurant (supposedly the only good one in Tokyo, if not the only one period). The food was great and the salsa was amazing!!!! We had a good time and headed home from there. Earlier in the day we ate crepes (I had strawberries, cheesecake, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream in mine) and checked out some cultural stuff. My next blog entry will be about that.

Hey gooch- we are really enjoying the BLOG!!! You always look happy and you sound like you are eating real healthy!!!! This weekend has been hectic as all the little ones are together and Layton is wearing us all out! We are enjoying the 105 degree temps in the pool. Margo and I just indulged ourselves in chips, cheese crisps and salsa at Macayo's. We miss you and I am sure the boy's did too at the cabin this weekend. I guess the decks are done and the Sun's are too. No, it is frustrating though watching them play bad and did I mention that I hate Tim Duncan and the entire Spur's team. So, we are all well. I will send some pics when I return to WYO. Ryan's job with Farm Bureau is looking good. We are anticipating a move back. Love ya- and miss ya- Flo
Gooch - Sounds like you are having a great time. That's cool that is was just like old times when you saw Benji - some people are like that. You can not see them for years and you just pick up where you left off. I haven't read your last like 9 entries but I'm going to right now so I'm excited to be caught up on what you've been doing. I think your hair cut looks great by the way. No more asking Carter if he has a comb you can borrow, huh?! We are having a nice Mother's Day weekend - just the girls and the kids of course. Today we went to the Rainforest Cafe at Arizona Mills and all the kids were scared - it was funny. Keep posting what you've been doing - it's fun to read and learn a little about Asia. Jess and I are about to watch the most recent Office episode - are you just a little bit jealous? Love ya and stay safe. Reeb
