I am typing this whole blog entry on a page where all the buttons are in Japanese so I have no idea how this will turn out but here goes.
So on my last day in the Phillipines Benji
e and I decided to go catch Spiderman 3 at the theatre as tickets are only $2.5US over there and yet get a few hours in A/C. How I love and appreciate A/C again!!!! So when we left it was mostly clear skies and a hot day. Three hours later when we stepped out of the theatre it was an absolute downpoar. The first thing Benjie says is, "Your clothes" and I remember almost a weeks worth of clothing hanging outside when we left to dry at his place. We hurriedly got in a Trike and raced home until the bike nearly stalled because the water was so deep it was near the engine. We got to the house and hurried outside to discover that my clothers were.... saved by Benjie's coworker Grace who had taken them inside before the storm started. Thank you Grace!!!! My last few hours in the Phillipines were spent packing, cleaning up, and then commuting to the airport. The gridlock in Manila and craziness of their roads made me realize we have it really nice in America, even if I think a little traffic is the end of the world.
